- Adopt a Family: We’ll provide you with a “wish list” so you can shop for their gifts.
- Make a Monetary Donation: Let us handle the shopping for you, ensuring the family receives the gifts they need.

Free Gingerbread House Decorating Event
We are excited to invite you to our Gingerbread House Decorating Event on:
Date: Saturday, December 14, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

Each child will receive their very own pre-assembled gingerbread house and all the decorating materials needed to create a masterpiece. All they need to bring is their creativity and holiday spirit!

Join the PC Friars for a Holiday Toy Drive Benefiting Esperanza-Hope!
The PC Friars will host a special Toy Drive to support the Esperanza-Hope Non-Profit Organization on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, during the men’s basketball game: PC vs. BYU. The game tips off at 8:30 p.m. at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence.
All fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to help brighten the holiday season for children in Rhode Island. Be part of the spirit of giving and make a difference in the lives of those in need!

Adopt a Family for Thanksgiving 2024
Let’s come together to give THANKS! Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect on our blessings and share them with others. A Thanksgiving dinner is more than a meal—it’s a blessing that brings families together.
Esperanza-Hope invites you to join us in spreading joy and gratitude by participating in our *“Adopt a Family for Thanksgiving 2024”*program. Would you like to help a family in need? We are excited and prayerfully inviting you to be part of this meaningful tradition.
Here’s how you can help:
- Adopt a Family by preparing a Thanksgiving meal basket.
- Make a Monetary Donation, and we will prepare the basket on your behalf.
Each adopted family will receive a whole turkey and a Thanksgiving meal basket, complete with everything they need to cook a delicious Thanksgiving dinner together.

We are excited to showcase the masterpieces created by children aged 7-14 during the Esperanza-Hope Free Art Program! These vibrant works of art are filled with color, creativity, positivity, and love, reflecting the joy and growth experienced by the young artists over the past few weeks.
This inspiring event is made possible through the generous support of the POC Foundation, Neighborhood Health Plan of RI, Roger Williams Gateway Center, and Joel Tavarez Photography.
Parents, don't miss the chance to register your child for the Esperanza-Hope Free Art Program! Call (401) 536-2151 to secure a spot. SPACE IS LIMITED. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis.

Durante nuestro viaje misionero de 2018, sorprendimos a 236 niños en el Colegio Evangélico Jehová Jireh, Santiago, RD con juguetes; patrocinamos a dos estudiantes para el año escolar 2018-2019 y le entregamos reconocimientos a cuatro excelentes estudiantes por sus logros academicos. Tambien repartimos Esperanza a cientos de niños en Rafey, Santa Lucia, Monte Rico, Cienfuegos, Santiago, RD. Los niños estaban felices al recibir la pulsera de Esperanza-Hope, libros, utiles escolares, articulos deportivo, juguetes, zapatos y ropa. Además durante el evento 22 mujeres embarazadas recibieron bañitos de niño, ropa de recien nacido y más. Gracias a nuestros patrocinadores por hacer esto posible. *During our 2018 missionary trip we surprised 236 children at Colegio Evangélico Jehová Jireh, Santiago, DR with toys; we sponsored two students for the school year 2018-2019 and recognized four excellent students for their academic achievements. Also we were spreading Hope to hundreds of children in Rafey, Santa Lucia, Monte Rico, Cienfuegos, Santiago, DR. The children were happy while they received the Esperanza-Hope’s bracelet, books, school supplies, sport equipment, toys, and clothing. In addition, during the event 22 pregnant women received BabyBath, potty trainer, new born clothing, etc. Thanks to our sponsors for making this possible.

Esperanza-Hope in partnership with the Providence Community Library is inviting our child to participate in a FREE Bilingual Writing Contest (English-Spanish).
- For Children 6 to 12 years of age
- The bilingual workshops of writing & illustrating will take place at the South Providence Library, 441 Prairie Avenue, Providence, RI on March 24, 2018 and April 7, 2018 from10:00am to 11:30am.
- Requirements: write an original story; add an illustration to each page; the pages have to be typed; the book has to be 5 to 10 pages.
- We will provide all the materials.

- Children will have up to April 16, 2018 to work on the book at home.
- Due date April 16, 2018.

URI Athletics in partnership with Lights & Sirens International and Esperanza-Hope is hosting its 3rd Annual URI Toy Drive on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the SOLD OUT men’s basketball game vs. Providence. The game is scheduled to start at 5:00 pm with doors open at 3:30 pm. Fans attending the game are encouraged to arrive early and to bring a new unwrapped toy to the game. The first 250 fans to donate will receive a free Rhody Cell phone Wallet. Be part of the spirit of giving and help those in need this holiday season! The toy drive is being held to benefit children in Rhode Island and in the Dominican Republic. Former Rhode Island men’s basketball player Ibn Bakari played a key role in organizing the drive.
