Esperanza-Hope Art Exhibition from February 1, 2020 to February 29, 2020
Opening Reception: February 1, 2020 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
This event is free and open to the public.

Central Library will showcase works of art from the students of the Esperanza-Hope Art Program. The Esperanza-Hope Art Exhibition will be featuring the Masterpieces that were created by children between the ages of 6 and 15, during the Esperanza-Hope free art program. These master pieces are filled with colors, laughs, positivity, and love.

Through these free art programs, Esperanza-Hope is working so closely with our community with passionate volunteers and artists. During our art program we are able to engage the kids in something positive and they have the opportunity to interact with others while displaying their artistic abilities. In addition, the children can openly express themselves through art and work on their talents.

Our mission is to bring hope and embolden a positive vision of the future for the children in our community in Rhode Island, and for children in the poorest communities of the Dominican Republic. Our objective is to encourage a more positive outlook for children by providing the tools necessary for success.

PC Friars is hosting a Toy Drive to benefit Esperanza-Hope Non-Profit Organization, on Saturday, November 24, 2019 at the men’s basketball game PC vs. PENN. The game is scheduled to start at 4:00 pm at the Dunkin’ Donuts Center Providence. Fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to the game to benefit children in Rhode Island. Be part of the spirit of giving and help those in need this holiday season!

Come and join us on December 12, 2019 for a night, filled with joy and cheerfulness. Let’s jingle and mingle to help raise funds for a good cause. It’s the holiday season and Esperanza-Hope and Lights & Sirens International are already busy ensuring that the families we serve have gifts, support, and necessities for the holidays! Each year, Esperanza-Hope and Lights & Sirens International host the “Adopt A Family for Christmas” Program. More families than ever before will need gifts and support this holiday. We can provide you with a “wish list” and you shop for the adopted children or you can make a monetary donation, donate unwrapped gifts or gift cards. Remember, in many cases, these will be the only holiday gifts they receive. Thank for all your support. We could not do the work that we do without the support and generosity of our donors and supporters.

URI Athletics & RIPTA in partnership with Lights & Sirens International and Esperanza-Hope is hosting its 5th Annual URI Toy Drive. Fans attending are encouraged to bring a new unwrapped toy to any of the Rhody’s first four home games; on the following dates: Tuesday, November 5, 2019, URI vs. LIU; Friday, November 15, 2019, URI vs. ALABAMA; Tuesday, November 19, 2019, URI vs. NICHOLLS STATE; Saturday, November 27, 2019 URI vs. MANHATTAN. Be part of the spirit of giving and help those in need this holiday season!  Thank you and let’s make some kids happy!

Like the prior years, we will provide each adopted family with a whole Turkey and a Thanksgiving meal basket, that includes everything they need for a full Thanksgiving meal so they are able to cook it together as a family. We are asking the people who would like to adopt a family to prepare the Thanksgiving meal basket or to make a monetary donation and we will prepare the basket. Thank you in advance for your support.

Providence Police Department hosting it’s Annual Fundraising Basketball Tournament on November 30, 2019 that benefits Lights and Sirens International. Come support this worthy cause by dropping off a toy, canned good or monetary donation, thank you Providence PD for your ongoing effort to support our mission.

Rumford Little League and Esperanza Hope team up for the 3rd annual baseball equipment donation drive. We are collecting donations of new and used baseball equipment to be sent to the Dominican Republic to children in need and to encourage positive participation in the game we love so much. Please bring any donations to our shack at Kimberly Rock this Friday through Sunday (September 27th – 29th) during the 3rd Annual Scott Grace Memorial Tournament.
