- Adopt a Family: We’ll provide you with a “wish list” so you can shop for their gifts.
- Make a Monetary Donation: Let us handle the shopping for you, ensuring the family receives the gifts they need.

Free Gingerbread House Decorating Event
We are excited to invite you to our Gingerbread House Decorating Event on:
Date: Saturday, December 14, 2024
Time: 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Location: 1014 Broad Street, Providence, RI 02905
Each child will receive their very own pre-assembled gingerbread house and all the decorating materials needed to create a masterpiece. All they need to bring is their creativity and holiday spirit!
Who Can Participate:
This FREE event is open to children aged 6 to 12 years old.

Join the PC Friars for a Holiday Toy Drive Benefiting Esperanza-Hope!
The PC Friars will host a special Toy Drive to support the Esperanza-Hope Non-Profit Organization on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, during the men’s basketball game: PC vs. BYU. The game tips off at 8:30 p.m. at the Amica Mutual Pavilion in Providence.
All fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy to help brighten the holiday season for children in Rhode Island. Be part of the spirit of giving and make a difference in the lives of those in need!

Adopt a Family for Thanksgiving 2024
Let’s come together to give THANKS! Thanksgiving is the perfect time to reflect on our blessings and share them with others. A Thanksgiving dinner is more than a meal—it’s a blessing that brings families together.
Esperanza-Hope invites you to join us in spreading joy and gratitude by participating in our *“Adopt a Family for Thanksgiving 2024”*program. Would you like to help a family in need? We are excited and prayerfully inviting you to be part of this meaningful tradition.
Here’s how you can help:
- Adopt a Family by preparing a Thanksgiving meal basket.
- Make a Monetary Donation, and we will prepare the basket on your behalf.
Each adopted family will receive a whole turkey and a Thanksgiving meal basket, complete with everything they need to cook a delicious Thanksgiving dinner together.

This inspiring event is made possible through the generous support of the POC Foundation, Neighborhood Health Plan of RI, Roger Williams Gateway Center, and Joel Tavarez Photography.

Let’s help those in need! Coat Drive on October 22nd from 9AM to 12PM at Roger Williams Park, Casino Parking Lot. Please bring your gently used men’s, women’s and children’s winter coats, hats and gloves. Donations will provide assistance to individuals and families facing adversities in our communities.

These master pieces are filled with colors, laughs, positivity, and love. This activity is made possible in part by a grant from RISCA the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, through an appropriation by the Rhode Island General Assembly; City of Providence; Neighborhood Health Plan of RI; The Papitto Foundation; Roger Williams Gateway Center; The Family Cake; Joel Tavarez Photography.

Housing/Homelessness prevention: We will continue to provide support to the homeless in RI by providing them cooked-hot meals and personal care items. In addition, we will continue to help underprivileged families who are in housing, but at risk of becoming homeless.
During our 2023 humanitarian trip to the Dominican Republic, once again we will be surprising kids on the streets, shelters, schools, churches, and Children’s Hospital with school supplies, clothing, toys, sports equipment, and more. In addition, we will be conducting our annual conference for teenagers, teaching them about dealing with issues, such as sexually transmitted diseases and early pregnancy prevention. Our “Raising Awareness for Teen” program aims to help the youth realize the importance of having a life with a purpose and taking care of their health. In this project, each teenager receives a bag with health information, free resources in their community, hygiene products, clothing, and more.
Esperanza-Hope Art Exhibition from May 6, 2023 to May 30, 2023 Opening Reception: May 6, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm This event is free and open to the public. Central Library will showcase works of art from the students of the Esperanza-Hope Art Program. The Esperanza-Hope Art Exhibition will be featuring the Masterpieces that were created by children between the ages of 6 and 15, during the Esperanza-Hope free art program. These master pieces are filled with colors, laughs, positivity, and love. Through these free art programs, Esperanza-Hope is working so closely with our community with passionate volunteers and artists. During our art program we are able to engage the kids in something positive and they have the opportunity to interact with others while displaying their artistic abilities. In addition, the children can openly express themselves through art and work on their talents.
Esperanza-Hope First Art & Craft Exhibition in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Date April 15, 2023 at 3:30pm. This event is free and open to the public. The Esperanza-Hope Art & Craft Exhibition will be featuring the Masterpieces that were created by 22 teenager girls. These young girls had been working on these master pieces for the past nine months, every Saturday from 8:00am to 11:30am. A lot of these teenagers completed the Esperanza-Hope art & craft course with the intention of becoming entrepreneurs.

We are thrilled to host a Gingerbread house decorating event on Saturday, December 10, 2022, from 1:00pm to 3:00pm. Please call 401-536-2151 to register your child. Each child will receive their own free gingerbread house to decorate! We pre-assemble the houses and provide all decorating materials. The children will provide their creativity! THIS IS A FREE EVENT for children 6 to 12 years old.
